Barrow Depths guide: how to get deeper in the endless dungeon

How the Barrow Depths work in Barrowlands: solo and party runs, floors, elites and bosses, safe rooms, blessings, Depth Marks, Delver gear and the weekly ladder.

The Barrow Depths are an endless dungeon in Barrowlands. You go down floor after floor, and every floor is tougher than the last. You can go alone or bring a party of up to five. This guide covers how it works and how to get deeper.

Going down

Open Train → Barrow Depths. You can start a solo run, or create a party and invite friends by name. A party is either open (anyone can join from the finder) or locked (invite only). The leader starts the run.

Each floor has monsters, and you fight them one floor after another. The run goes on by itself, even if you close the page. You can retreat at any time and keep everything you earned.

Floors, elites and bosses

  • Every 5th floor is an elite floor. Elites carry a modifier: Swift, Armoured, Frenzied or Brutal.
  • Every 10th floor is a boss, and it drops a loot chest.
  • Every 10 floors the scenery changes, from the Sunken Crypt to the Glowcap Caverns, Drowned Halls, Ember Forge, Frostbound Deep and The Hollow.

Safe rooms and blessings

After each boss, the party rests in a safe room. Everyone heals 40%, and everyone votes for a blessing that lasts the rest of the run: Might, Stoneskin, Feast, Fortune, Scholar or Vigor. Pick what fixes your weakest point.

What decides how deep you get

Food, runes and arrows. A run ends when you run out of food or hit points, or when you retreat. Bring plenty of food, keep your best gear and use the strongest food you have. A party gets more total hit points and shares the monsters, so a full party of five can go much deeper than one player.

Rewards

Every floor gives experience, coins and loot. You also earn Depth Marks, which you spend on:

  • scrolls and food packs
  • permanent Delver gear: boots (less damage), a satchel (food heals more) and a charm (more coins), each with 5 ranks

The weekly ladder

Each week (Monday UTC) you can claim bonus Marks for the deepest floor you reached, and the Leaderboard shows who is deepest this week. Guilds also have milestones for floors cleared together.
